What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive primary health care services, focusing on preventative, curative, and rehabilitative care.
• Conduct clinical nursing practices in accordance with established standards and the Nursing Act.
• Utilize resources efficiently to ensure effective service delivery.
• Maintain accurate statistics for evaluation and financial planning purposes.
• Mentor and motivate staff to enhance their skills and expertise.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Participate in clinical audits to uphold quality standards.
• Foster a therapeutic environment that aligns with the Batho Pele principles.
• Advocate for patients and respond to their needs in a compassionate manner.

What You’ll Need

• A minimum of 4 years of appropriate nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing and Midwifery, plus 1 year of post-basic qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment, and Care.
• For grade 2, at least 14 years of relevant experience, with a significant time in a specialty area.
• A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent, along with a degree or diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.
• Registration with SANC as a General Nurse and Midwife, with a current receipt for 2026.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work well in diverse teams.
• Knowledge of SANC regulations and scope of practice.
