What You’ll Do

  • Deliver a comprehensive package of primary health care services.
  • Develop and implement facility plans while monitoring progress.
  • Execute quality improvement programs to achieve Universal Health Coverage.
  • Manage resources effectively in line with the cost containment plan.
  • Implement the Primary Health Care Re-engineering strategy.
  • Conduct clinical audits of priority programs to enhance service delivery.
  • Oversee the Employment Performance Management and Development System.
  • Utilize data to improve health outcomes and service delivery.
  • Monitor departmental projects in accordance with health calendars.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12/Senior Certificate.
  • Basic R425 qualification (Diploma/Degree in General Nursing and Midwifery) plus a one-year post-basic nursing qualification in Clinic Nursing Science Health Assessment, Treatment, and Care (PHC).
  • Current registration with SANC as a General Nurse, Midwife/Accoucheur, and Primary Health Care.
  • A minimum of nine years of relevant nursing experience, with at least five years in primary health care.
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing legislation, public service policies, and health-related prescripts.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and report writing.
  • Effective communication skills to foster teamwork and collaboration.
