What You’ll Do

• Coordinate optimal maternity nursing care in accordance with established standards.
• Manage the effective use of human and material resources within the hospital.
• Lead and participate in training and research initiatives for nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with nursing legislation and ethical practices.
• Supervise the nursing team, ensuring high-quality clinical practices.
• Foster effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Advocate for patient rights and promote the principles of Batho Pele.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships to enhance service delivery.
• Manage time and workloads effectively for yourself and junior colleagues.

What You’ll Need

• Senior Certificate along with a Diploma/Degree in Nursing.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
• A post-basic nursing qualification with a minimum duration of 1 year, accredited with SANC in Advanced Midwifery.
• A minimum of 9 years nursing experience post-registration, with at least 5 years in Advanced Midwifery.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing care processes, legal frameworks, and public service policies.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and planning skills.
• Basic computer literacy to support service delivery.
