What You’ll Do

  • Manage all documentation and filing systems in the office of the Deputy Director-General.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations on finance and operational matters.
  • Coordinate the strategic planning documents and ensure timely submission of progress and performance reports.
  • Brief the Deputy Director-General on engagement matters and provide relevant documentation.
  • Scrutinize submissions and reports, highlighting key aspects for actionable insights.
  • Conduct research and compile complex documents to support departmental initiatives.
  • Maintain a robust document management system to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Monitor the office budget, providing guidance on strategic issues as needed.
  • Coach and mentor staff on best practices in office management and compliance.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification in Administration Management, Office Management, or Business Management (NQF level 6).
  • At least 3 years of experience in an office management or administrative role at the Assistant Director or Junior Management level.
  • Knowledge of Office Administration, Public Service Regulatory Framework, and Departmental Legislation.
  • Proficiency in document management and human resource regulations.
  • A valid driver’s license is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with various levels of management.
  • Skills in report writing, presentation, client orientation, and office administration.
