What You’ll Do
- Administer incoming files, ensuring proper opening and categorization.
- Close employee files promptly when necessary (transfers, resignations, etc.).
- Maintain control sheets and organize documents numerically.
- Efficiently manage incoming and outgoing mail, including stamping and weighing.
- Record courier items and facilitate their collection.
- Ensure proper registration and signing of outgoing files by clients.
- Oversee the disposal and transfer of files, including archival value documents.
- Compile lists of files for transfer to the National Archive.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- A post-matric qualification and experience in records management is advantageous.
- Knowledge of document management and filing administration.
- Proficiency in computer packages.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A sense of responsibility, loyalty, and the capability to work under pressure.
