What You’ll Do

  • Provide quality basic nursing care according to established procedures and policies.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination needs.
  • Escort patients to and from diagnostic procedures such as x-rays and sonars.
  • Assist professional nurses with clinical procedures and prepare patients for surgeries.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure effective use of resources.

What You’ll Need

  • Appropriate qualification enabling registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
  • Registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
  • For Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of appropriate nursing experience post-registration.
  • For Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years of appropriate nursing experience post-registration.
  • Willingness to work shifts, public holidays, after-hours, night duty, and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, along with good communication skills.
