What You’ll Do
- Oversee and manage paediatric surgery services at Witbank Hospital
- Provide expert surgical care to children, ensuring adherence to patient care standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive healthcare
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols
- Participate in academic training and continuous professional development activities
- Conduct clinical audits and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Support hospital management in maintaining high standards of patient care
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews and assessments in line with the Performance Management and Development System
What You’ll Need
- Appropriate qualifications for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Paediatric Surgery
- Valid work permit for non-South African applicants
- Sound knowledge of medical ethics and multidisciplinary team management
- A minimum of 1 to 10+ years of relevant experience, depending on the grade
- Strong clinical skills, including history taking, examination, and clinical assessment
- Ability to work independently and under pressure, with good communication skills
- Competence in teaching and guiding junior staff members
