What You’ll Do

• Provide clinical governance and guidance to facility managers at Vredendal Hospital and associated clinics
• Deliver clinical services at a specialist level in Family Medicine, including handling emergencies and sub-specialties
• Mentor and train medical students, community service staff, and medical officers in Family Medicine
• Engage in research activities to advance knowledge and practices in Family Medicine
• Assist the Manager of Medical Services with human resources and financial resource management duties

What You’ll Need

• Appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Family Physician
• Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Family Medicine
• Experience:
• Grade 1: None required after registration
• Grade 2: Minimum of 5 years as a Medical Specialist post-registration
• Grade 3: Minimum of 10 years as a Medical Specialist post-registration
• Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB)
• Willingness to work overtime and in Primary Health Care Clinics within the sub-district
• Competencies in leading multidisciplinary teams, strong communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
