What You’ll Do

• Provide expert advice and recommendations on the acceptance of liability in occupational injury claims.
• Recommend the approval of medical accounts to ensure appropriate compensation.
• Assess and determine the degree of Permanent Disability (PD) and Total Temporary Disability (TTD) for claimants.
• Process medical accounts related to occupational injuries and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to deliver exceptional customer service based on the Batho Principles.

What You’ll Need

• A four-year degree or three-year diploma in Nursing.
• A Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health/Theatre Technique/Critical Care is advantageous.
• Experience required: Grade 1: 2-9 years; Grade 2: 10-19 years; Grade 3: 20+ years post-registration in trauma, emergency, internal medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, or theatre at a regional public or private hospital level.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council is essential.
• Knowledge of Compensation Fund objectives, nursing legislation, and ethical nursing practices.
• Proficiency in business writing, IT skills, data capturing, and record management.
