About the Opportunity
The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety is offering 204 Traffic Learner Officer Learnerships for 2026. This 12-month programme is designed for young South Africans eager to make a difference in traffic law enforcement and road safety. Participants will receive comprehensive training at the Traffic College, covering both theoretical and practical aspects, along with physical development.

Key Responsibilities
Successful applicants will undergo training in traffic legislation, road safety education, practical traffic enforcement, and more. This includes physical fitness training and learning about professional conduct and public service ethics.

Requirements/Qualifications
Applicants must have a Grade 12/NQF Level 4 qualification, be between 18 and 35 years old, and possess a valid driver’s license. A clean criminal record, no visible tattoos, and medical, mental, and physical fitness are required. Applicants must also be eligible to possess a firearm.

Benefits
Participants will receive a stipend of R70 383 per annum.

Selection Process
The selection process includes practical assessments, integrity checks, qualification verification, and security clearance. Shortlisted candidates will need to provide a medical certificate, certified copies of qualifications, ID, and a valid driver’s license.
