What You’ll Do

  • Execute access control in accordance with the Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act.
  • Conduct positive identification checks for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Register and monitor the entry of all individuals at security access points.
  • Issue admission control cards to visitors and ensure their safe return.
  • Patrol buildings and fenced-off areas to maintain security.
  • Monitor and guard vehicles and equipment from a security perspective.
  • Inspect and verify all incoming goods and materials to ensure safety.
  • Report any security deficiencies or incidents to senior security personnel.

What You’ll Need

  • Competency in the core functions of security management.
  • Proficiency in English and one other official language.
  • South African citizenship with proof required.
  • A Grade 10/Standard 8/NCV Level 2 certificate (NQF Level 2).
  • Valid PSIRA registration and at least a Grade C security certificate.
  • No disqualifications to possess a firearm and willingness to undergo firearm competency training.
  • Relevant security training will be an advantage.
  • A valid driver’s license is beneficial.
  • Availability to work shifts and extended hours.
  • Knowledge of access control procedures and emergency protocols.
