What You’ll Do
- Provide secretarial support to the Section Head and assist with administrative tasks.
- Arrange, prepare, and attend meetings, including typing agendas and taking minutes.
- Answer and manage incoming calls to the Section Head’s office.
- Liaise with other sections and components regarding various matters.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping and filing systems.
- Handle confidential documents responsibly.
- Process and submit claims while coordinating travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Manage the Section Head’s diary and welcome visitors to the office.
- Operate standard office equipment, including computers and photocopiers.
- Ensure office inventory is maintained and refreshed for meetings.
What You’ll Need
- Proven competency in core secretarial functions and relevant experience.
- Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
- South African citizenship with proof required at the interview.
- A Grade 12/Senior Certificate or an equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4).
- A minimum of four years of experience in a similar role.
- A relevant three-year diploma or degree (NQF level 6 or higher) is an advantage.
- A valid driver’s license for light motor vehicles.
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
