What You’ll Do
- Control admission by verifying the identity of employees, visitors, and maintenance personnel.
- Issue and collect admission control cards from visitors.
- Maintain a detailed visitor’s register for accountability.
- Inspect supplies and objects entering premises to ensure safety.
- Manage vehicle access in secured areas and conduct patrols of the facilities.
- Supervise cleaning and maintenance personnel from a security perspective.
- Check security equipment and facilities, reporting any issues to senior personnel.
- Assist security officers in fulfilling their duties as needed.
What You’ll Need
- Competency in the core functions of the security role.
- Proficiency in English and one additional official language.
- South African citizenship with proof required at the interview.
- A minimum of Grade 10/Standard 8/NCV level 2 certification.
- Valid registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA).
- A Grade C security certificate or higher is mandatory.
- Willingness to undergo firearm competency training and maintain certification.
- Valid driver’s license for light motor vehicles is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work shifts and extended hours.
- Knowledge of access control procedures and relevant emergency measures.
