What You’ll Do

• Participate in the development of strategic internal audit plans and annual audit plans.
• Assist with audit planning and perform the execution of various audit projects.
• Prepare findings based on audit fieldwork and follow up on audits to ensure compliance.
• Evaluate the department’s controls and objectives to support efficient operations.
• Stay updated with developments in the internal audit environment to enhance audit effectiveness.
• Provide administrative support during audits to ensure a smooth process.

What You’ll Need

• A National Diploma in Internal Audit or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in internal auditing.
• Knowledge of IT audits and familiarity with Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS).
• Understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and related regulations.
• Strong communication and numerical skills, along with proficiency in computer literacy.
• A valid driver’s license is advantageous.
• Ability to work under pressure, demonstrating flexibility and self-confidence.
