What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate administration of recruitment, selection, and appointment processes.
  • Identify funded vacant posts and coordinate requests to advertise.
  • Liaise with line managers regarding recruitment activities.
  • Manage the receiving and sorting of job applications.
  • Assist in shortlisting candidates and conducting interviews.
  • Provide logistical support for recruitment meetings and compile meeting minutes.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and maintain a proper filing system.
  • Compile statistics related to conditions of service and benefits.
  • Process leave requests and update leave registers.
  • Support performance management and ensure quality assurance of performance agreements.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification (NQF level 4) as recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of one year’s experience in a human resources environment is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the PERSAL system and public service legislative frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in administration, planning, and organizing.
  • Computer literacy, particularly in MS Office.
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes such as customer service orientation, self-motivation, creativity, teamwork, and flexibility.
