What You’ll Do

• Enforce the Immigration Act and related legislation effectively.
• Detect, trace, detain, and prosecute individuals who are in the country illegally.
• Process deportations and manage the necessary documentation.
• Conduct inspections and investigations, both on-site and remotely, as permitted by law.
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies on operations and investigations.
• Provide expert testimony in court cases and departmental proceedings.
• Maintain accurate records of cases and monitor the influx of undocumented foreigners.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge in immigration laws and enforcement.

What You’ll Need

• An undergraduate qualification in Law, Public Management, Public Administration, Policing, Criminology, Forensics, or Criminal Justice at NQF level 6.
• Basic understanding of the Refugees Act and Immigration Act.
• A valid driver’s license (Code B/C1/C/ EC1) and a Public Driver Permit (PDP).
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel outside of South Africa and work extended hours.
