What You’ll Do

  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in assigned areas, including offices and communal spaces.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and polishing.
  • Ensure hygiene in restrooms and kitchens by cleaning utensils and equipment.
  • Control stock levels of cleaning materials and report shortages.
  • Safeguard cleaning equipment and ensure it is kept in working condition.
  • Implement basic security measures and monitor for hazards in the building.
  • Conduct simple maintenance repairs when necessary and report any issues.
  • Assess the hygiene situation and identify areas needing attention.
  • Adhere to infection control and hygiene regulations at all times.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Physical strength and stamina to manage the demands of the role.
  • Honesty and reliability in all aspects of work.
