What You’ll Do

• Wheel patients to and from their wards, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Transport patients to various service areas such as operating theatres and diagnostic services.
• Deliver medical equipment, supplies, and documentation between departments.
• Collect and deliver specimens for laboratory testing.
• Assist with the offloading of patients from ambulances and private vehicles onto stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of stretchers and wheelchairs after each use.
• Report any faulty or broken equipment to your supervisor immediately.
• Provide mortuary services, including receiving and storing corpses accurately and respectfully.
• Keep meticulous records of all patient and equipment movements for safety and accountability.

What You’ll Need

• NQF level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of customer care principles.
• A compassionate and respectful attitude towards patients and their families.
