What You’ll Do

• Wheel patients to and from wards, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Transport patients to various service areas, including operating theatres.
• Collect and transport corpses to the mortuary with dignity and respect.
• Deliver equipment, stores, and documentation to the appropriate wards and departments.
• Collect and deliver medical specimens as needed.
• Assist in offloading patients from ambulances and private vehicles onto stretchers.
• Clean stretchers and wheelchairs after each use to maintain hygiene standards.
• Report any faulty or broken equipment to your supervisor immediately.
• Maintain accurate records when receiving and releasing corpses in the mortuary.
• Ensure proper storage of corpses in the cool room and handle them with care.

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of customer care principles.
