What You’ll Do
- Assist in moving patients safely to and from various areas of the hospital, including wards and the operating theatre.
- Transport corpses to the mortuary and ensure proper handling and documentation.
- Deliver essential equipment, documentation, and supplies to different departments and wards.
- Maintain cleanliness of stretchers and wheelchairs, ensuring they are ready for use at all times.
- Report any faulty or broken equipment to your supervisor promptly.
- Provide compassionate support to patients, ensuring their comfort during transportation.
- Record and manage the intake and release of corpses, maintaining accurate records in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Participate in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients and staff.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of NQF level 3 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent).
- No prior experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a career in healthcare.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
