What You’ll Do

• Coordinate the education and training of student nurses.
• Manage clinical learning exposure for students in collaboration with the clinical area.
• Oversee and supervise nursing students during their clinical practice.
• Develop and implement quality assurance programs for nursing education.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build strong departmental relationships.
• Participate in policy development and analysis related to nursing education.
• Review and develop nursing curricula for various training categories.
• Facilitate Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities at the campus.
• Engage in governance structures of the College and support its mission.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports for students and staff.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) plus a degree/diploma in General Nursing, Midwifery, Psychiatric and Community Nursing Science registered with SANC.
• A degree/diploma in Nursing Education registered with SANC.
• A degree/diploma in Health Service Management/Nursing Administration registered with SANC.
• At least nine years of relevant experience as a Professional Nurse after SANC registration.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in nursing education as a lecturer in a recognised institution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in teaching and assessment methodologies applicable to nursing education.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks in nursing education.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, along with good research and analytical capabilities.
• A valid RSA driver’s licence (Code EB) and willingness to travel.
