What You’ll Do

• Mow lawn areas, including developed and veld grass.
• Water plants to prevent damage and promote healthy growth.
• Maintain flower and shrub beds by keeping them weed-free and well-cultivated.
• Prune dead flower heads and fertilize lawn and plant beds.
• Assist in planting new mother stock material in designated areas.
• Support plant propagation activities as needed.
• Sweep and rake hard surfaces to maintain cleanliness.
• Uphold good conduct and professionalism at all times.
• Clean restrooms allocated to the department according to the schedule.

What You’ll Need

• Minimum of ABET level 04 or Grade 09.
• Minimum of Grade 10.
• Good interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members and the public.
• Basic knowledge of gardening maintenance practices.
• Ability to operate horticultural equipment safely.
• Understanding of occupational health and safety standards.
• Strong planning and organizing skills.
• Basic literacy and effective communication skills.
