What You’ll Do

  • Design and layout a variety of communication products for both digital and print formats.
  • Create engaging social media infographics from initial concept to final product.
  • Prepare final artwork for print and digital use, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
  • Present design concepts to clients, incorporating feedback for final approval.
  • Source high-quality graphic elements such as photographs and departmental logos.
  • Implement the design of brochures, reports, and other visual materials.
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing teams to maintain a cohesive brand image.
  • Archive and organize digital files systematically for easy access.
  • Monitor design work undertaken by external service providers and ensure budget compliance.
  • Stay updated on design trends and innovations within public sector branding.

What You’ll Need

  • A recognized NQF 6 qualification in Graphic Design or a relevant equivalent.
  • At least three years of experience in a graphic design environment.
  • Proficiency in using Apple Mac Computer, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with web, 3-D design, and basic animation is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of government corporate identity and brand management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver’s license, with considerations for applicants with disabilities.
