What You’ll Do
- Provide GISc support to enhance institutional decision-making and policy formulation.
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to inform strategic initiatives.
- Manage projects and finances related to GIS applications and services.
- Develop and maintain GIS standards and ensure legal and operational compliance.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to implement GIS solutions that meet the department’s objectives.
- Engage in spatial modelling design and analysis to support agricultural planning and development.
What You’ll Need
- A completed Grade 12 qualification and a four-year undergraduate degree in GISc or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of three years of post-qualification professional experience in GISc.
- Current registration with PLATO is mandatory.
- A valid driver’s license (note: exceptions apply for individuals with disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of project management, GIS application, and spatial analysis techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
