What You’ll Do

• Provide GISc support to enhance institutional decision-making and policy formulation.
• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to inform strategic initiatives.
• Manage projects and finances related to GIS applications and services.
• Develop and maintain GIS standards and ensure legal and operational compliance.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to implement GIS solutions that meet the department’s objectives.
• Engage in spatial modelling design and analysis to support agricultural planning and development.

What You’ll Need

• A completed Grade 12 qualification and a four-year undergraduate degree in GISc or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
• A minimum of three years of post-qualification professional experience in GISc.
• Current registration with PLATO is mandatory.
• A valid driver’s license (note: exceptions apply for individuals with disabilities).
• Strong knowledge of project management, GIS application, and spatial analysis techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
