What You’ll Do
- Perform general assistant work to support departmental operations
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of premises and surroundings
- Safeguard and maintain gardening equipment
- Move furniture and equipment as needed
- Remove garbage and empty boxes to ensure a tidy environment
- Assist in receiving stock and goods, ensuring accurate reporting
- Load and offload goods as required
- Clean government vehicles to maintain their functionality
What You’ll Need
- ABET/AET or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to read and write competently
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and gardening principles
- Skills to operate basic garden equipment and machinery
- Understanding of maintenance procedures for relevant equipment
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Commitment to punctuality, productivity, and excellent customer service
