What You’ll Do

• Conduct production activities in line with operational plans.
• Allocate tasks to labourers based on production needs.
• Monitor seedlings and plants for pests and diseases.
• Ensure effective harvesting activities are carried out.
• Prepare fire breaks to protect forest areas.
• Oversee the maintenance of plantations and woodlots.
• Implement weed control measures and ensure proper watering and fertilizing of plants.
• Provide general support functions as needed.
• Conduct stocktaking to manage resources effectively.
• Deliver training and development opportunities for team members.

What You’ll Need

• An ABET (NQF 3) or equivalent qualification.
• No prior experience is required.
• Knowledge of propagation methods and record-keeping.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to work under pressure and with limited supervision.
• Ability to manage challenging interpersonal dynamics effectively.
