What You’ll Do

• Implement integrated coastal and inland fisheries management strategies.
• Develop guidelines and conduct risk assessments for aquaculture development zones.
• Provide technical advice to aquaculture management committees on environmental monitoring.
• Contribute to the creation and revision of legislation relating to environmental management.
• Support pollution and waste management initiatives for finfish farms.
• Prepare educational materials and deliver presentations to raise awareness about aquaculture.
• Collect, validate, and manage environmental data related to aquaculture zones.
• Compile monthly technical reports detailing environmental monitoring challenges.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Environmental Management or Natural Science.
• A minimum of one year of experience in Natural Science or a related field.
• Knowledge of the Marine Living Resource Act, 1998, and the Public Finance Management Act.
• Familiarity with environmental management principles and laboratory procedures.
• Understanding of environmental impact assessments and monitoring for aquaculture.
• Skills in project management, planning, and execution.
