What You’ll Do

  • Process claims and standing advances efficiently and accurately.
  • Verify that claim forms are completed correctly before submission to the accounting office or financial authority.
  • Ensure the timely processing of financial payments and standing advances on the Polfin system.
  • Administer overtime remuneration and allowances for personnel.
  • Monitor and manage telephone accounts and payments.
  • Control and administer losses of state money and face value forms.
  • Process payments to suppliers and manage cash received, issuing receipts as necessary.
  • Deposit money at designated accounting stations or financial institutions.

What You’ll Need

  • Demonstrated competency in the core functions of the post.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
  • Citizenship of the Republic of South Africa, with proof required at the interview.
  • A Grade 12/Senior Certificate/NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification (NQF level 4 as recognized by SAQA).
  • Relevant courses in finance or administration will be an advantage.
  • General computer literacy skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective planning, organizing, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage extended hours if required.
