What You’ll Do

  • Promote adherence to Generally Recognized Accounting Practice (GRAP) standards.
  • Ensure timely submission of credible annual financial statements by municipalities.
  • Support municipalities in monitoring and compliance with financial accounting and asset management requirements.
  • Assist in improving audit outcomes for all delegated municipalities.
  • Provide oversight and support for internal controls within municipalities.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate degree or advanced diploma (NQF level 7) majoring in Financial Accounting.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in an accounting environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), and other relevant legislation.
  • Strong report writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and conflict management.
  • A valid driver’s license and computer literacy.
