What You’ll Do
- Support the implementation of revenue management strategies in targeted municipalities.
- Assist municipalities in managing their debt effectively.
- Provide technical advice on revenue-related tariffs and policies.
- Facilitate training sessions to enhance the financial management capacity of municipal staff.
- Offer guidance on the revenue management cycle and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant degree or advanced diploma (NQF level 7) in Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in an accounting environment.
- Knowledge of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), Municipal Property Rates Act (MPRA), and related regulations.
- Strong analytical, numerical, negotiating, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and a valid driver’s license.
