What You’ll Do
- Process payments for service providers and manage payment registers.
- Provide support to the Financial Accounting team.
- Receive and check claims and invoices for accuracy before submission for approval.
- Capture Subsistence and Travel (S&T) and cell phone claims on PERSAL and BAS systems.
- Administer petty cash for the office and submit certified payroll to Head Office monthly.
- Track creditor payments using a tracking system.
- Distribute finance-related policies and circulars to officials.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Verify availability of funds and recommend expenditure approvals.
- Assist in the compilation of the regional budget and generate expenditure reports for managers.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrable competency in acting independently and with accountability.
- Basic numeracy skills and knowledge of financial accounting.
- Experience with processing creditor payments and employee allowances.
- Familiarity with Public Finance, PERSAL, BAS, and LOGIS systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent planning and organizing abilities.
- Good analytical skills and general computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
