What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized technical support for the development and implementation of biodiversity management plans.
- Offer technical advisory services to ensure compliance with coastal management legislation.
- Evaluate and assess biodiversity and Coastal Zone authorization applications.
- Supervise compliance adjudication processes related to coastal management.
- Perform administrative functions and support related to biodiversity and coastal management.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate and a 4-year degree/NQF Level 8 qualification in Natural Sciences, Environmental Management, Nature Conservation, Environmental Law, or a related field.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Understanding of the National Environmental Management Act, Public Service Regulations, and Public Service Act.
- Strong computer literacy and good writing and communication skills.
- While no experience is required, 1-2 years of relevant experience will be advantageous.
