What You’ll Do

• Provide specialized technical support for the development and implementation of biodiversity management plans.
• Offer technical advisory services to ensure compliance with coastal management legislation.
• Evaluate and assess biodiversity and Coastal Zone authorization applications.
• Supervise compliance adjudication processes related to coastal management.
• Perform administrative functions and support related to biodiversity and coastal management.

What You’ll Need

• A National Senior Certificate and a 4-year degree/NQF Level 8 qualification in Natural Sciences, Environmental Management, Nature Conservation, Environmental Law, or a related field.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Understanding of the National Environmental Management Act, Public Service Regulations, and Public Service Act.
• Strong computer literacy and good writing and communication skills.
• While no experience is required, 1-2 years of relevant experience will be advantageous.
