What You’ll Do

  • Promote water resource awareness and compliance with water quality policies and legislation.
  • Conduct catchment management and monitor water quality within specified areas.
  • Process environmental authorisation applications related to land development.
  • Draft water quality reports and provide comments on scientific reports.
  • Attend to pollution incidents and implement corrective measures.
  • Coordinate strategies for cleaner production technologies and enforce statutory obligations.
  • Participate in water resource management initiatives and projects.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma in Environmental Management or a related field in Natural Sciences.
  • Practical experience in Water Quality Management is advantageous.
  • Understanding of the National Water Act 1998 and the Water Services Act 1997.
  • Familiarity with WMS operating systems and wastewater treatment processes is a plus.
  • Strong computer literacy, writing, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work irregular hours.
  • Skills in technical report writing, data analysis, and presentation.
