What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical support for the development and coordination of coastal management plans and governance initiatives.
  • Assist in the review and implementation of coastal management policies, legislation, and related regulatory instruments.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the impact of coastal management policies and instruments.
  • Support the development and maintenance of an integrated coastal information management system.
  • Carry out administrative and related functions necessary for effective coastal management.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Senior Certificate plus a 4-year degree/NQF Level 8 or equivalent qualification in Natural Sciences, Environmental Management, Nature Conservation, Environmental Law, or related fields.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • While no experience is mandatory, 1-2 years’ experience in a related field will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, PFMA, and relevant Coastal Management Legislation applicable to the Eastern Cape.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and strong writing and communication skills.
