What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate formal and informal environmental education programs in schools.
  • Implement the Limpopo Enviro Explorer Youth Programme, including providing career advisory services.
  • Coordinate the commemoration of environmental calendar days within the district.
  • Conduct environmental awareness campaigns through various media platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance environmental education and awareness initiatives.
  • Represent the department in education and awareness forums.
  • Compile reports on environmental education and awareness activities.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF 6 qualification in Nature Conservation, Environmental Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related field recognized by SAQA. An NQF 7 qualification is advantageous.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and protocols.
  • Skills in implementing environmental education and awareness programs.
  • Understanding of education for sustainability and the ability to link the basic education curriculum with environmental programs.
  • Proficient computer literacy and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong report writing, planning, organizing, and project management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to manage conflicts and solve problems effectively.
