What You’ll Do

• Plan and implement conservation management programs within the nature reserve.
• Execute law enforcement initiatives to protect the reserve’s natural resources.
• Promote awareness of biodiversity conservation among local communities.
• Oversee infrastructure management and recreational facilities within the reserve.
• Conduct surveys and record data to monitor environmental conditions.
• Engage with stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for conservation efforts.
• Manage tourism activities and related administrative functions in the reserve.
• Ensure effective resource management (financial, human, and physical) in line with relevant regulations.

What You’ll Need

• An NQF 6 qualification in Nature Conservation, Wildlife Management, Environmental Management, Natural Sciences, or an equivalent recognized by SAQA.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in the Nature Conservation field.
• A SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate and a valid driver’s license (exceptions may apply).
• A clean criminal record.
• Strong knowledge of Nature Reserve management and relevant legislation.
• Proficiency in report writing and computer literacy.
• Excellent communication, people management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage change and diversity effectively.
