What You’ll Do
- Plan, design, operate, and maintain engineering projects.
- Develop cost-effective engineering solutions following established standards.
- Evaluate and update existing technical manuals and procedures to incorporate new technologies.
- Create and develop tender specifications for engineering works.
- Ensure compliance with engineering norms and standards during planning and design processes.
- Provide training and development to technicians and candidate engineers to facilitate skills transfer.
- Supervise engineering work processes, managing performance and development.
- Oversee resource management and facilitate effective resource utilization.
- Monitor and control expenditure related to engineering projects, reporting on service delivery outcomes.
What You’ll Need
- An Engineering Degree in Electrical (B Eng / BSC (Eng) or equivalent qualification).
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in Engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations including the Public Service Act, PFMA, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Strong decision-making, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management and computer-aided engineering applications.
- Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
