What You’ll Do

• Plan, design, operate, and maintain engineering projects.
• Develop cost-effective engineering solutions following established standards.
• Evaluate and update existing technical manuals and procedures to incorporate new technologies.
• Create and develop tender specifications for engineering works.
• Ensure compliance with engineering norms and standards during planning and design processes.
• Provide training and development to technicians and candidate engineers to facilitate skills transfer.
• Supervise engineering work processes, managing performance and development.
• Oversee resource management and facilitate effective resource utilization.
• Monitor and control expenditure related to engineering projects, reporting on service delivery outcomes.

What You’ll Need

• An Engineering Degree in Electrical (B Eng / BSC (Eng) or equivalent qualification).
• A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in Engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations including the Public Service Act, PFMA, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Strong decision-making, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in project management and computer-aided engineering applications.
• Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
