What You’ll Do

  • Manage technical services related to geographical information systems (GIS) for road declaration.
  • Oversee administrative functions to ensure smooth operation within the department.

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards in all technical processes.
  • Provide support in the planning and execution of transport infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma in GISc Cartography or a relevant qualification at NQF level 6.
  • Six years of post-qualification technical experience in GISc.
  • Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa Geomatics Council (SAGC) as a Professional GISc Technician.
  • A valid driver’s license (minimum code B).
  • Strong knowledge of project management and technical design/analysis.
  • Skills in research and development, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on customer service and financial management.
  • Attributes such as creativity, meticulousness, reliability, and professionalism.
