What You’ll Do

  • Manage the implementation and monitoring of construction management guidelines and standards.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improving construction management processes.
  • Make recommendations for changes to existing guidelines and policies.
  • Ensure project compliance with approved programs and frameworks.
  • Develop and implement support tools for effective project management.
  • Oversee project change management processes and service level agreements.
  • Provide technical advice on special projects and maintain stakeholder relations.
  • Manage the appointment of service providers and oversee contract management.
  • Coordinate special projects and ensure alignment with departmental quality standards.
  • Manage the operational budget for construction projects, ensuring efficient cash flow.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of NQF Level 7 qualification in Built Environment or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a middle or senior managerial role within the built environment.
  • Registration as a Professional Construction Project Manager with the SACPCMP.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, contract management, and public finance.
  • Excellent management, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in strategic planning, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
