About the Role
The Department Of Infrastructure is seeking a Chief Director: Infrastructure Research, Planning and Management based in Johannesburg. What You’ll Do
- Oversee the development and coordination of infrastructure-related research initiatives.
- Incorporate research findings into departmental planning and delivery processes.
- Direct the establishment and continuous improvement of project and programme management systems in infrastructure delivery.
- Analyze industry trends and property management rates to inform best practices.
- Facilitate internal capacity-building initiatives for the effective use of developed tools and policies.
- Manage the development of strategic reports and documentation for departmental planning.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team, promoting professional development and maintaining discipline.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification at NQF level 7 in Economics, Management Sciences, Built Environment, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience at a senior managerial level in a research environment.
- A valid driver’s license and a Pre-Entry SMS Certificate (Nyukela) submitted prior to appointment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation such as PFMA, DORA, and various procurement acts.
- Excellent skills in project management, communication, and leadership.
