What You’ll Do

  • Study and analyze case dockets to prepare for court proceedings
  • Decide on the initiation of criminal proceedings based on legal assessments
  • Draft charge sheets and legal documents for court cases
  • Represent the State in all court appearances, including leading witnesses and cross-examination
  • Conduct prosecutions on behalf of the State in various court settings
  • Perform general administrative duties to support the office’s operations
  • Foster community involvement and collaboration with partners in the criminal justice system

What You’ll Need

  • An LLB or appropriate legal qualification for serving prosecutors seeking promotion
  • At least four years of post-qualification legal experience
  • Strong competency in independent decision-making and professional accountability
  • Proven ability to prosecute and engage in litigation effectively
  • Experience in guiding investigations and providing legal instructions
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Good project management abilities and a valid driver’s license
