What You’ll Do

  • Manage and support psycho-social support officials at national, provincial, and district levels.
  • Develop and implement policies and programs aimed at enhancing the psycho-social well-being of learners and educators.
  • Liaise and collaborate with Provincial Education Departments, NGOs, universities, and research organizations to promote effective support systems.
  • Monitor and evaluate strategies and programs addressing psycho-social well-being in schools.
  • Represent the Directorate in various internal and external forums as needed.
  • Manage partnerships and liaise with project funders to ensure effective resource allocation.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification at NQF Level 7 in Psychology, Social Work, or Health Science as recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience at a Middle or Senior Managerial level.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing psycho-social support programs.
  • Strong understanding of current education and school health policies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
