What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the NPO budget approval and payment process for service providers.
  • Provide training and capacity building on compliance-related matters.
  • Establish and maintain an internal control system on the SAP System, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation.
  • Compile and manage the proposed budget for the Management Authority.
  • Conduct risk assessments by analyzing audited financial statements of funded NGOs.
  • Develop and monitor compliance frameworks for funded NPOs in the Social Service Sector.
  • Manage the Directorate’s budget, expenditure, and performance reporting.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Financial Management, Cost Accounting, or Auditing.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a middle/senior managerial role in financial management.
  • Nyukela SMS Certificate for entry into SMS (Senior Management Service) from the National School of Government prior to appointment.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative and policy frameworks governing NPOs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven strategic capability and leadership in financial management.
