What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the management of the NPO budget approval and payment systems as part of the Department’s Annual Performance Plan.
  • Provide institutional capacity building regarding compliance matters to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain a robust internal control system on the SAP System in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Compile and manage the provincial proposed budget for the Management Authority.
  • Conduct financial analyses and monitor expenditures, providing consolidated monthly reports for subsidy payments.
  • Perform risk assessments through the analysis of audited financial statements of funded NGOs.
  • Formulate policies and provide support to stakeholders for effective program implementation.
  • Develop cost-efficient costing models for all funded programs delivered by NPOs.
  • Manage compliance monitoring of funded NPOs in the Social Service Sector and participate in relevant task teams.
  • Oversee audit processes for the Directorate and manage the Directorate’s budget, performance reporting, and discipline.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Financial Management, Cost Accounting, Auditing, or Public Management/Administration.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a middle/senior managerial role within the financial management environment.
  • Nyukela SMS Certificate from the National School of Government for entry into Senior Management Service (SMS).
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative, policy, and institutional frameworks governing NPOs and community partnerships.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic capability and leadership experience, with monitoring and evaluation skills.
