What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement HR operational strategies to optimize efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on strategy implementation.
  • Benchmark HR operations against best practices in the private and public sectors.
  • Oversee the management of employee benefit systems for the National Treasury workforce.
  • Create and execute recruitment strategies to meet organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with HR Account Managers and senior management to enhance talent attraction.
  • Manage the recruitment life cycle, ensuring effective hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Produce regular reports on HR metrics and maintain management control systems.
  • Develop a records management strategy for employee information and documentation.
  • Lead the development of the Recruitment and Selection framework aligned with departmental goals.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of Grade 12 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field at NQF level 7.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a middle/senior managerial role within the HR environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Public Service Human Resources management frameworks and regulations.
  • Successful completion of the Nyukela Public Service Senior Management Leadership Programme is essential prior to appointment.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with a commitment to best practices in HR management.
