What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement the DHA Footprint Strategy across all levels of the department.
  • Manage the delivery model of health facilities and liaise with provincial managers to ensure effective strategy execution.
  • Drive cooperation with the Department of Health to enhance service delivery in hospitals and clinics.
  • Ensure optimal Health Facilities delivery at DHA service points to meet birth and death registration targets.
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures in collaboration with the Policy and Strategy unit.
  • Establish effective communication channels for informed decision-making and reporting frameworks.
  • Oversee project management processes, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.
  • Manage human, physical, and financial resources efficiently within the Chief Directorate.
  • Coach and guide staff on compliance with regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification in Operations Management, Public Administration, or a related field at NQF level 7 recognized by SAQA.
  • At least 5 years of experience at a Middle/Senior Managerial level.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Constitution of South Africa and relevant public service legislative frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the Births and Deaths Registration Act and related legislation.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience with online systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a focus on stakeholder relations and customer service.
