What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the compilation and monitoring of the Demand Management Plan.
  • Compile procurement plans for submission to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct market analysis to inform departmental procurement strategies.
  • Administer deviations from prescribed acquisition management processes.
  • Manage procurement processes for infrastructure, goods, services, and IT-related needs.
  • Facilitate the secretariat functions of procurement committees, including Bid Specification and Bid Evaluation committees.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement reporting and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Financial Management, Public Management, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, or BCom in Accounting (NQF Level 7).
  • Certificate for entry into Senior Management Services (SMS).
  • A minimum of five (5) years of job-related work experience in Supply Chain Management at a middle or senior managerial level.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Supply Chain Management Framework and corporate governance issues.
  • Understanding of the Public Service environment, PFMA, and National Treasury Regulations.
  • Strong leadership, management, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
