What You’ll Do
- Oversee the compilation and monitoring of the Demand Management Plan.
- Compile procurement plans for submission to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct market analysis to inform departmental procurement strategies.
- Administer deviations from prescribed acquisition management processes.
- Manage procurement processes for infrastructure, goods, services, and IT-related needs.
- Facilitate the secretariat functions of procurement committees, including Bid Specification and Bid Evaluation committees.
- Ensure compliance with procurement reporting and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Financial Management, Public Management, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, or BCom in Accounting (NQF Level 7).
- Certificate for entry into Senior Management Services (SMS).
- A minimum of five (5) years of job-related work experience in Supply Chain Management at a middle or senior managerial level.
- In-depth knowledge of the Supply Chain Management Framework and corporate governance issues.
- Understanding of the Public Service environment, PFMA, and National Treasury Regulations.
- Strong leadership, management, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A valid driver’s licence.
