What You’ll Do
- Oversee the financial management of the unit, including budget development and expenditure monitoring.
- Manage human resources functions, ensuring compliance with HR policies and effective recruitment processes.
- Ensure adherence to financial management frameworks and relevant legislation.
- Lead the development and implementation of operational plans and strategies for the unit.
- Facilitate a skills development plan and coordinate the Employment Equity Forum.
- Maintain and enhance the document management system for efficiency and compliance.
- Provide administrative leadership and ensure effective information and knowledge management within the unit.
- Monitor supplier and vendor performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
What You’ll Need
- A qualification at NQF level 7 in Finance, Public Administration, Management, or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- A Nyukela Certificate for entry into the senior management service from the National School of Government.
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience in middle or senior managerial roles.
- Strong knowledge of legislation related to Public Service Administration, including the PFMA, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Skills Development Act, and Labour Relations Act.
- Proficiency in PERSAL and BAS systems, along with general computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong research and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
