What You’ll Do

  • Provide preventative nutrition services, including growth monitoring and health education in local clinics.
  • Develop diet prescriptions tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Assist in managing food services within the hospitals to ensure quality meal provision.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs to enhance nutritional services.
  • Offer nutritional counselling to patients and their families.
  • Prescribe and authorize special diet products as required.
  • Implement guidelines to maintain healthy nutritional practices.
  • Create and distribute informative pamphlets on nutrition to educate the community.
  • Design and conduct tailored nutrition programs for individuals or groups.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and a BSc Dietetics Degree.
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Dietician (2026).
  • For South African qualified candidates, no experience is required post-registration if community service has been completed.
  • For foreign qualified candidates, one year of relevant experience after registration is required.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • A valid driver’s license.
