About the Role

What You’ll Do
- Ensure all referred patients are seen promptly and receive appropriate nutrition therapy
- Record patient interventions accurately on the hospital information system
- Attend ward rounds to assess patient needs and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Participate in accredited CPD activities to maintain professional development
- Conduct in-service training for wards and relevant health professionals
- Assist with various administrative tasks related to foodservice, catering, and special diets
- Manage stock and supplies, ensuring availability for optimal patient care
- Supervise and train postgraduate dietetic students to foster the next generation of professionals
What You’ll Need
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Dietician
- For Grade 1: No experience required for RSA qualified applicants who completed Community Service; one year of relevant experience for foreign qualified applicants
- For Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience for RSA qualified applicants; minimum of 11 years for foreign qualified applicants
- For Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years relevant experience for RSA qualified applicants; minimum of 21 years for foreign qualified applicants
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
